About the Artists

Joseph Cunliffe currently appears with Barnes & Hampton in "A
Celtic Christmas. He records and performs with guitarist Giorgia
Cavallaro in "Flutar", which opened the National Flute Convention
in Chicago in 1997. Mr. Cunliffe teaches at the Landon School.

Craig Fraedrich is a member of the U.S. Army Big Band, the "Blues".
He teaches at Shenandoah Conservatory. His most recent recording
was the 1995 CD, "Shades of Blue", the fourth of his jazz
recordings.

Burnett Thompson teaches at his own studio, at the Hearthstone
School, and leads a an on-going Jazz Workshop. He has performed
with several orchestras, produced many performance series, and has
released three other CD's on Solace Records.

Chris Vadala is director of Jazz Studies at University of Maryland.
He played saxes with the Chuck Mangione group from the late 70's
to the present, and is sponsored by Selmer in jazz education
seminars year round.

Ephriam Wolfolk currently appears with the Smithsonian Jazz
Masterworks Orchestra. He is featured on the Telarc CD "I Remember
Duke, Hoagy, and Strayhorn" with Ahmad Jamal. He performed with
the Air Force Big Band, "The Airmen of Note".

Rod Youngs has appeared with Les McCann and Gil Scot Heron, among
other notable performers. He holds degrees from Howard University
and the Eastman School of Music. He is currently free-lancing in
London, England.
